About the role
The role of Civil Works Engineer plays a critical role in aligning strategic and operational objectives within civil work functions, ensuring the effective delivery of water and sewer services across the Central Coast.
This role will see you provide engineering technical support, develop detailed specifications, planning maintenance programs, and overseeing project management tasks, while contributing to the safety and compliance of operations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Central Coast Council owns, operates and manages over 50 reservoirs, 350 pumping stations and nearly 5,000km of pipelines, and this critical role will see you apply your engineering expertise in the operation and maintenance of this infrastructure among Council's Network Maintenance team.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Other important information
A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
